I've cut 2 of the depth mike rods so far , easier than I thought it
would be to adjust them . I'm getting them close right now . It's pretty
hot out in the shop and I know the adjustment isn't "precise" . I'll get
all the bits and pieces down to the loading bench and let them stabilize
overnight then do a final tune . The temp down in the cellar is more
stable and a bit cooler than the rest of the house .

. Just cuz I can go 160 MPH doesn't mean I need to ...

How are you cutting and squaring them?
I'm using the Dremel with a reinforced cutting disc mounted in the
clamp that's held in my lantern toolpost on the lathe . The holder is
clocked a degree or so counterclockwise from parallel to help prevent a
convex end profile .
